How to sauna
Sweating. Cooling down. Rest. Re-energising. In the new hot-spot by Lake Zurich. Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 22:00 and Saturday/Sunday from 10.00 to 22.00. Grab your sauna towel, bathrobe plus slippers and just drop by. The ticker on the top right indicates the number of vacant spots. For the ultimate experience, you can rent one or more sauna cubes exclusively.

The smart cycle: You bring your own stuff. A bathrobe and slippers that fit you, plus a towel big enough to sit or lie on. If you forget something or drop by spontaneously, we've got it all.

1. showering before using the sauna is a must.
2. the sauna cubes are naked zones. Those who are not comfortable being naked can rent a thin hammam towel and keep it on. No bathing suits nor trunks allowed at all.
3. Anyone who disturbs, teases or takes photos will be asked to leave.
4. those who unexpected run into an acquaintance, or work colleague: Relax, no need to panic, they feel the same way too.

Available are, dressing rooms with hairdryers, toilets, hot showers. Two relaxation yurts: one next to the winter bistro for snacking and chatting, the other yurt behind the sauna cubes for peacefull and quiet relaxation in complete silence. In the evening a fire bowl on the terrace deck. the winter bistro with delicious food & drinks.

Winter bistro
The Strandbad Küsnacht is open to the public from November to April. The winter bistro will open for the first time to strollers and sauna fans as of October 2022. From Monday to Sunday 11:00 to 22:00.
The Bistro yurt offers fresh dishes and drinks daily and is the center of nourishment for the body and soul. Perfect place to stop by for a snack, lunch or a drink at the bar in the evening. Or if you feel like a soup or a chai after the sauna just sitting around the fire bowl. The sauna area, dressing rooms, sauna cubes and resting yurts is exclusively reserved for sauna guests.

Wim Hof Workshops

Put yourself in the expert hands of a certified WHM Instructor to learn the 3 pillars of the Wim Hof Method: Breathing Technique, Cold Exposure & Commitment. Find out how you can utilize oxygen and cold exposure to optimize body & mind, and learn about the underlying physiology.
These workshops are limited to 12 participants. The intimate quality allows for ample personal attention, and feedback tailored to your specific situation. Whether you are looking to improve mental or physical performance, relieve symptoms related to an illness, or are just curious to find out what the Wim Hof Method is all about— a WHM workshop offers something for everyone.
The program generally kicks off with an introduction to the Wim Hof Method, and always includes a breathing session and an (optional) ice bath. At the end there is ample room for reflection, and the Instructor is there to answer questions throughout the workshop. Sauna Whisk Cube - each Thursday Evening

The sauna broom, called Vihta in Finland and Venik in Russia, is a special sauna ritual.
For many sauna visitors, the sauna broom is a must-have item. A sauna whisk is a bundle of young tree branches that are used for a special massage in the sauna. Using the sauna whisk promotes blood circulation and cleanses the skin. The sauna user beats or taps the other sauna user with the broom after dipping it in water. The whisks spread a pleasant fragrance in the air, creating a kind of aromatherapy. Whisks are made from various tree species. The most popular include birch, oak and eucalyptus.
Visitors hit each other on the upper body, arms and legs with birch branches previously soaked in water. This may sound a little strange at first, but it is actually good for the body - as long as the beating is not too strong. The light blows with the birch whisk ensure that the skin is better supplied with blood - and looks fresher and healthier after the ritual.
We have reserved a cube for this special sauna ritual every Thursday evening from 6.00 pm. Important: We ask you to bring your own sauna brooms. Sauna brooms can also be purchased from us.
